I want to be in relationship with God

Wanting to have a relationship with God is actually the beginning. It's like knowing where the well of fresh water is and wanting to drink from it. All you need to do is go there and have some.
There is no fence around the well and you don't have to perform any tricks, recite any poems or be good to convince any gatekeepers. You are there!
The best thing to do now is talk to your new friend, Jesus. He described
himself as living water in John's gospel Chapter 7 verse 37-38:
"If you are thirsty, come to me! If you believe in me, come and drink!
For the Scriptures declare that rivers of living water will flow out from
within."

Simply pray a prayer in your heart, or out loud like this; "Dear Lord Jesus, I want to get to know you better and have a relationship with you. I realise I've tried to do things on my own and haven't been listening to you. I need your help to hear. I'm sorry for not realising this earlier. Thank you for dying on the cross so that I can be in relationship with you. I really need to know what to do next. Please provide help so I can start living your way and not my own. Especially with my family and those around me. I believe you are there, thank you for that. Please help my faith to grow." Amen

WOW... If you prayed that prayer sincerely, then there is great celebration taking place in heaven now. God loves it when people come into relationship with Him.
"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you
will be saved."
Acts Chapter 16, Verse 31
Becoming a Christian is the first step in a life long journey of getting to know our creator and discovering God's plan as it unfolds. As Christians we live in this world in a relationship with God and each other that we believe lasts for eternity.
To help us grow and learn more, it is a great support to meet with other Christians, read God's word and talk to God regularly about all of the issues in our lives.
